Intensive Outpatient Program: Why Choose Branches Auburn Hills at Havenwyck Hospital?

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides the extra support you or your child needs without a significant time commitment. At Branches Auburn Hills, a service of Havenwyck Hospital, you attend our mental health therapy program three mornings a week. Take what you learn here and apply it right away at home, work or school.
No matter where you are in your mental health journey, we’re here to help. Our program is a bridge, or step down, from inpatient treatment and an option if you want to prevent hospitalization. We provide structured support while helping you ease into your daily life.
Get extra support beyond your regular outpatient therapy sessions. At Branches Auburn Hills, we focus on you and provide care tailored to your needs and goals.
Highlights of our intensive outpatient program include:
- Flexibility: Intensive outpatient therapy offers more support than regular outpatient visits. The program helps you balance school, work, family and other commitments.
- Real-world experience: Since you’re here just a few hours daily, you can quickly use what you learn in your everyday life. You can share your challenges and successes with others and figure out what works best for you.
- Compassionate, experienced team: Our doctors, therapists and nurses guide you on your journey toward mental wellness. We use trauma-informed care, acknowledging how past traumas affect your healing and helping you recover without re-traumatization.
- Structured treatment: Our program offers more care than a typical office session. You get group counseling, educational groups and support from others facing similar challenges.
- Fast assessments: Call us today. We can typically schedule you for an assessment the next day. You can start treatment right after your assessment if it’s a good fit for you.
- Virtual options: Our meeting rooms feature big telehealth screens, so you can join virtual therapy from home. You can see and hear your fellow participants, and they can see and hear you.
- Support for transgender individuals: We affirm and respect transgender and gender nonbinary individuals. We provide a comfortable, welcoming environment tailored to your needs at any phase of your transition.
